Who We Are

The American Council for Judaism (ACJ) was founded in 1942 to continue Reform Judaism as a universal ethical tradition, while many institutions turned towards centering Jewish nationalism through Zionism. We are renewing the Council to serve today’s needs throughout the interdenominational Progressive Jewish world.
